How to Win Friends & Influence People
OK, I haven't read this. Should I read it? I feel like everyone reads this, and it's probably a best-seller for a reason. If you hate it, tell me. If you love it, tell me. Or I guess I should say, influence me.
The Third Plate: Field Notes on the Future of Food by Dan Barber
I'm reading this book right now and I'm going to use it to ruin conversations with unsolicited advice about how to be a better consumer. The writing is fantastic and it doesn't get too preachy or too science-y. It's mostly narrative, just stories about what Dan Barber has learned after accidentally becoming one of the first restaurants labeled "farm to table". If you don't have time for 500 pages, you can get a pretty good idea of the book's content by watching the Dan Barber episode of Chef's Table on Netflix (first season).
Boundaries: When to Say Yes, How to Say No to Take Control of Your Life
I'm reading this book right now with a few of my friends. We're annoying each other so badly that it's come to this.
Not really. It's a book about setting yourself up for success in relationships by helping you understand the way you treat others and the way you handle relational responsibility from a Christian point of view. Worth the $8.
