This is either an actual repeat or a conceptual repeat but since we're in Order 66 territory I believe we are justified in this. Coming from the internet of 2002 (!!!!) is the first formulation of the compelling condemnation of the the lawless and terroristic rebel alliance who have brought nothing but pain, suffering, and loss to the galaxy through their actions. -B
I'd like to see this re-written to include the author's take on everything that has become canon now that Disney is behind the wheel. Like, how do Ben Solo and the First Order operate versus the Empire? Are they evil, or are they just ruthlessly pursuing order at all costs? And is there a line between ruthless and evil? So many questions. - C
Dang Brian how did you find this?! I think I'll describe this as: "Check out the ultimate Star Wars fan trailer!" Too much? - Calvin

First Thoughts on The Last Jedi
A pretty balanced breakdown of the movie overall. I think that my biggest issue with the movie (I didn't have many) was the entirety of the Finn/Rose plot – although the guy who wrote this article enjoyed it. To me, nix that whole subplot and the movie becomes reasonable in length and I would re-watch it more often. Also I wanted a more detailed explanation of the Knights of Ren. Maybe next time. – Calvin

Let's Talk About The Weirdest (And Best) Scene In The Last Jedi
I think I'm 100% on board with this take on The Last Jedi. Some of you may have seen the original first movie – it is hard to figure out how people are referring to that one these days, by the way – in theaters and I am jealous. I think everyone has forgotten how strange and goofy and awkward that movie would have been to the adults who wandered into it the first time around. Keep Star Wars Weird. – Calvin
The Last Jedi's Porgs Are Just Puffins

Gonna end on a real serious and nerdy note.
Joseph Gordon-Levitt is one of my favorite humans. I hadn't thought of Luke's character in this movie this deeply, but I love this take on it. The basic premise:
The way I see it, The Last Jedi takes two big risks in its depiction of Luke. 1) He’s different than he used to be. 2) Not only is he different, he’s changed for the worse.
Risks, indeed. Shoutout to Gerry for the link. – Calvin
The most downvoted Reddit comment of all time
Apparently nobody believes that requiring 1,000's of hours to unlock Darth Vader in a Star Wars shooter is about instilling a sense of "pride and accomplishment" and not about trying to get as many people as possible to pony up real cash (after they've already bought the full priced game). -Brian
‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’: Carrie Fisher Wrote Leia’s Most Touching Final Moments
OK, Leia's superhero flight in space was a little goofy but overall, I thought Fisher was wonderful and I'm sad she won't be in the next one to wrap up this trilogy. RIP. – Calvin
