Chris Vernon vs. Deyonta Davis
I feel like Deyonta has huge potential this year, but that's not why I'm sharing this video. Deyonta is perhaps the most deadpan player I've ever heard interviewed. I also like watching Chris Vernon's shots be repeatedly swatted into oblivion.
The NBA Draft happened Thursday. Did you miss it? Only have 2-3 minutes to catch up? Here.
Kevin Durant Had to Blow Up His Life to Get His Shot
In light of KD getting a ring, I thought I'd share this article from last fall. Hard to hate on KD (so don't).
Magic Johnson Says Brandon Ingram Is His Team's Only Untouchable Player
"Hey what if we had a team made of only guards? Y'all wanna try that?" - Magic Johnson, apparently.
Robert Swift: From NBA lottery pick to drug addict to...
This is a tough read. The writing is excellent, and the story is really unbelievable. I felt like I was watching a movie. If you can make it through the SI website's insanely annoying ads, you'll be glad you read this one.
Here Is a Poem About Gordon Hayward
This is really silly. Shoutout to Gerry A. II (aka "Sweet Potato") for the link.
Jesse Eisenberg writes about watching women's basketball
I'll admit, I'm guilty of the following sentiment stated in this article: "I harbored the kind of naive assumption that this game couldn’t possibly be played by anyone other than Lebron James and his 500 friends in the NBA." I really liked this article and hereby avow to give women's basketball a shot. Also, the video is real painful to watch so maybe skip that.
This is a few years old now, but every single bit of it is funny. I still tell people about this stupid thing, and can barely hold it together when I re-read it.
NBA Injury Report (@NBAInjuryR3port) | Twitter
Honestly, I don't really use Twitter anymore. But some people do. And some people have hilarious Twitter accounts. This is one of the few where I can honestly say every single tweet is pure gold. H/T to Andrew Millen for the link. Note: if you don't follow the NBA, none of this will make any sense to you.
Imagine a Google for NBA highlights. And here it is. H/T to Andrew Millen for the link.
